Who I am

This website is operated by Alfy Harvey, a freelance frontend web developer based in Brighton, England. You can contact me at the address on the contact page.

What data I collect

When you submit the contact form on this site, I collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The message you send

I do not collect any other personal data, and I do not use analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising cookies.

Why I collect it

The information you submit via the contact form is used solely to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis for processing this data is legitimate interest — you are actively reaching out to start a conversation.

How long I keep it

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted. If we enter into a working relationship, relevant correspondence may be kept for up to 6 years for legal and accounting purposes.

Third-party services

This site uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which may log your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
  • Fluent Forms — used to process contact form submissions. Data is stored in this site's database and is not shared with third parties.

Cookies and local storage

This site saves your light/dark theme preference to your browser's local storage. This is a functional preference only — it contains no personal data and is not used for tracking.

No third-party cookies are set by this site.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data I hold about you
  • Request that I correct or delete it
  • Object to or restrict my processing of it
  • Lodge a complaint with the ICO (the UK's data protection authority)

To exercise any of these rights, please get in touch via the contact page.

Changes to this policy

If I make any material changes to this policy I will update the date at the top of this page.
